Ingredients

  • 2 cups flour.
  • 4 teaspoons baking powder.
  • ½ teaspoon salt.
  • 1 tablespoon sugar.
  • ¼ cup milk.
  • 1½ cup butter.

Method

  1. Mix as Strawberry Short Cake I.
  2. Toss and roll on floured board.
  3. Put in round buttered tin, and shape with back of hand to fit pan.

Kitchen Notes

  • Washington pie tins are closest to 8-inch round cake pans.
