Fudgy Brownies (Espresso)
For clean slices, chill brownies 30 minutes before cutting.

(113g) butter 1/2 cup
(200g) sugar 1 cup
eggs 2
vanilla extract 1 tsp
(35g) cocoa powder 1/3 cup
(65g) all-purpose flour 1/2 cup
salt 1/4 tsp
chocolate chips (optional) 1/2 cup
instant espresso powder 1 tbsp
Method
1 HEATHeat oven to 350°F. Line an 8x8-inch pan with parchment.
2 MELTMelt butter; whisk in sugar.
3 WHISKWhisk in eggs and vanilla until glossy.
4 STIRStir in cocoa, flour, and salt just until combined.
5 FOLDFold in chocolate chips if using.
6 STIRStir espresso powder into melted butter.
7 BAKEBake 22–28 minutes until edges are set and center is slightly fudgy. Cool completely before slicing.

  • 1/2 cup (65g) all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips (optional)
  • 1 tbsp instant espresso powder

Method

  1. Heat oven to 350°F. Line an 8x8-inch pan with parchment.
  2. Melt butter; whisk in sugar.
  3. Whisk in eggs and vanilla until glossy.
  4. Stir in cocoa, flour, and salt just until combined.
  5. Fold in chocolate chips if using.
  6. Stir espresso powder into melted butter.
