Spring Pea Chaat
A bright, tangy spring chaat with peas, potatoes, and crunchy topping.

Ingredients

peas, fresh or frozen 2 cups
small potato, diced 1
plain yogurt 1/4 cup
tamarind chutney or date chutney 1 tbsp
chaat masala 1/2 tsp
ground cumin 1/4 tsp
lime 1
red onion, finely diced 1/4 cup
cilantro, chopped 2 tbsp
sev or crushed crispy chickpea snacks 1/4 cup
Method
1 Boil the potato until tender and cook the peas just until bright and tender; drain and cool slightly.
2 Whisk the yogurt with the tamarind chutney, chaat masala, cumin, and a squeeze of lime.
3 Toss the peas and potato with the red onion and cilantro.
4 Drizzle with the yogurt dressing.
5 Top with sev and serve immediately.

  • 1 lime
  • 1/4 cup red onion, finely diced
  • 2 tbsp cilantro, chopped
  • 1/4 cup sev or crushed crispy chickpea snacks

Method
