Turkish Pasta
A flavorful pasta dish with spiced beef and yogurt sauce.
Ingredients
- 12 oz pasta (penne or rigatoni)
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp cumin
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon
- to taste Salt and black pepper to taste
- 2 cloves garlic, minced (for yogurt)
- 4 tbsp butter
- 2 tsp paprika
- 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes
- to taste Fresh parsley for garnish
Method
- Cook pasta according to package instructions. Reserve 1/2 cup pasta water and drain.
- Brown ground beef in olive oil over medium-high heat. Add garlic, cumin, paprika, cinnamon, salt, and pepper. Cook for 8-10 minutes until beef is cooked through.
- Mix yogurt with minced garlic and a pinch of salt. Set aside at room temperature.
- Melt butter in a small pan over medium heat. Add paprika and red pepper flakes. Cook for 1-2 minutes until fragrant and butter turns deep red.
- Plate pasta, top with seasoned beef, spoon yogurt sauce generously over top, then drizzle paprika butter all over.
- Garnish with fresh parsley and serve immediately.
