Vanilla Sheet Cake
Cool cakes fully before frosting to prevent melting.
Ingredients
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 1/2 cups sugar
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 2 eggs
- 1 1/2 cups buttermilk
- 1/2 cup melted butter
- 2 tsp vanilla
Method
- Heat oven to 350°F. Grease a 9x13-inch pan.
- Whisk flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
- Whisk eggs, buttermilk, butter, and vanilla; stir into dry ingredients until smooth.
- Bake 28–32 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean. Cool before frosting.
