Buttermilk Biscuits
Bread dough rises faster in a warm spot; slower in a cool kitchen.
Ingredients
- 2 cups flour
- 1 tbsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1 tsp salt
- 6 tbsp cold butter, cubed
- 3/4 cup buttermilk
Method
- Heat oven to 425°F.
- Whisk dry ingredients; cut in butter until pea-sized.
- Stir in buttermilk just until dough forms.
- Pat to 1-inch thick; cut biscuits.
- Bake 12–15 minutes until tall and golden.
