Salted water, for boiling to taste
Italian sausage, sliced 12 oz
olive oil 1 tbsp
cherry tomatoes, halved 2 cups
olive oil 3 tbsp
garlic, thinly sliced 4 cloves
lemon zest 1 tsp
lemon juice 3 tbsp
salt 1/2 tsp
Black pepper to taste
Grated Parmesan (optional) to taste
Fresh basil or parsley (optional) to taste
Method
1 COOKCook pasta in salted water until al dente. Reserve 1 cup pasta water, then drain.
2 BROWNBrown sausage slices in olive oil; set aside.
3 SAUTÉSauté cherry tomatoes 3–4 minutes until blistered; add to sauce.
4 GENTLYGently sizzle garlic in olive oil until pale gold.
5 STIRStir in lemon zest, juice, salt, and pepper; turn off heat.
6 TOSSToss drained pasta with sauce, loosening with pasta water as needed.
7 SERVEServe warm; top with Parmesan and herbs if desired.

Method

  3. Sauté cherry tomatoes 3–4 minutes until blistered; add to sauce.
  4. Gently sizzle garlic in olive oil until pale gold.
  5. Stir in lemon zest, juice, salt, and pepper; turn off heat.
  6. Toss drained pasta with sauce, loosening with pasta water as needed.
  7. Serve warm; top with Parmesan and herbs if desired.
