Shrimp Lemon Garlic Pasta with Broccoli

Salted water, for boiling to taste
shrimp, peeled 1 lb
olive oil 1 tbsp
salt 1/2 tsp
Black pepper to taste
broccoli florets 3 cups
olive oil 3 tbsp
garlic, thinly sliced 4 cloves
lemon zest 1 tsp
lemon juice 3 tbsp
salt 1/2 tsp
Black pepper to taste
Grated Parmesan (optional) to taste
Fresh basil or parsley (optional) to taste
Method
1 COOKCook pasta in salted water until al dente. Reserve 1 cup pasta water, then drain.
2 SEARSear shrimp in olive oil 1–2 minutes per side; set aside.
3 BLANCHBlanch broccoli 2 minutes or sauté until crisp-tender; add to pasta.
4 GENTLYGently sizzle garlic in olive oil until pale gold.
5 STIRStir in lemon zest, juice, salt, and pepper; turn off heat.
6 TOSSToss drained pasta with sauce, loosening with pasta water as needed.
7 SERVEServe warm; top with Parmesan and herbs if desired.

  • 4 cloves garlic, thinly sliced

  • 3 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • to taste Black pepper
  • to taste Grated Parmesan (optional)
  • to taste Fresh basil or parsley (optional)

Method

  1. Cook pasta in salted water until al dente. Reserve 1 cup pasta water, then drain.
  2. Sear shrimp in olive oil 1–2 minutes per side; set aside.
  3. Blanch broccoli 2 minutes or sauté until crisp-tender; add to pasta.
  4. Gently sizzle garlic in olive oil until pale gold.
  5. Stir in lemon zest, juice, salt, and pepper; turn off heat.
  6. Toss drained pasta with sauce, loosening with pasta water as needed.
  7. Serve warm; top with Parmesan and herbs if desired.
