Baked Sweet Apples.

Ingredients

  • sugar.
  • boiling water.
  • core eight sweet apples.

Method

  1. Wipe and core eight sweet apples.
  2. Put in a bakingdish, and fill cavities with sugar, allowing one-third cup, or sweeten with molasses.
  3. Add two-thirds cup boiling water.
  4. Cover, and bake three hours in a slow oven, adding more water if necessary.

  • Original calls for a slow oven — about 300°F.
