One Egg Cake.

Ingredients

  • 1½ cup milk.
  • 1½ cups flour.
  • 2½ teaspoons baking powder.

Method

  1. Cream the butter, add sugar gradually, and egg well beaten.
  2. Mix and sift flour and baking powder, add alternately with milk to first mixture.
  3. Bake thirty minutes in a shallow pan.
  4. Spread with Chocolate Frosting.

Kitchen Notes

  • Original calls for a slow oven — about 300°F.
