Sour Milk Griddle-Cakes.

Ingredients

  • 2½ cupsflour.
  • ½teaspoon salt.
  • 2 cups sour milk.
  • ½teaspoon soda.
  • 1 egg.

Method

  1. Mix and sift flour, salt, and soda; add sour milk, and egg well beaten.
  2. Drop by spoonfuls on a greased hot griddle ; cook on one side.
  3. When puffed, full of bubbles , and cooked on edges, turn, and cook other side.
  4. Serve with butter and maple syrup.
