Ingredients

  • ¼ cup butter.
  • ¼ cup sugar.
  • 1 egg.
  • ¼ cup milk.
  • 2 cups flour.
  • 3 teaspoons baking powder.
  • ¼ cup butter.
  • ½ cup sugar.
  • 1 egg.

Method

  1. Cream the butter ; add sugar and egg well beaten ; sift baking powder with flour, and add to the first mixture, alternating with milk.
  2. Bake in buttered tin gem pans twenty-five minutes.

  • Gem pans are small, shallow muffin tins.
