Toast Water.

Ingredients

  • Salt.
  • Equal measures of stale bread toasted and boiling water.

Method

  1. Cut bread in quarter-inch slices, put in a pan, and dry thoroughly in a slow oven until crisp and brown.
  2. Break in pieces, add water, and let stand one hour.
  3. Strain through cheese cloth, and season.
  4. Serve hot or cold.
  5. 1 large sour apple.
