Ingredients

  • ¾ cup butter
  • 1½ cups sugar
  • ¾ cup milk
  • 2½ cups flour
  • ½ teaspoon cream of tartar
  • 3 teaspoons baking powder
  • 8 egg whites
  • 1 cup walnut meat, cut in pieces

Method

  1. Follow recipe for mixing butter cakes.
  2. This mixture makes two loaves.
